Frequently Asked Questions
Q: Who can play?
A: Teams of all adult ages (over 18) and abilities are welcome. Squads can consist of up to 10 players, 7 on a pitch at any one time and with unlimited rolling substitutions (players must substitute behind the side-line).
Squads are encouraged to be mixed gender. The game is targeted at older players.
Q: Where can we park?
A: The club car park will be open for use. We also have overflow parking around the corner at the local academy.
Q: What time is the club open on Sunday to collect our cars.
A: The car park will be open from 9:30am, if you would like to collect your car earlier could you let one of the Titans Committee know, so they can arrange it.
Q: What time is registration?
A: Registration is 10:00am. Please sign in at the central gazebo.
Q : What type of games will be played?
A: Non-Competitive games for fun and enjoyment for all the teams and players.
Q: How many games do teams play?
A: All teams will take part in a round robin and should expect to play a minimum of 6 games.
Q: We don’t own kits can you help?
A: We can provide bibs if required.
Q: Are there changing rooms?
A: There are separate male and female changing rooms and shower facilities available in the club. A full map of the layout for the day can be found here.
Q: When will the match schedule be available
A: The match schedule should be available within 7 days of the festival, it will be able to be downloaded from the Website. Copies will also be handed to teams on the day and a large version will be printed and set up outside the control tent.
Q: What food will be available on the day?
A: Breakfast baps will be available from 10:00. We are not giving out tokens this year, there are various food suppliers coming from Tacos, Pizzas and Burgers, this year we are letting you purchase the food that suits you.
Q: Do we have to provide a referee?
A: Each team would be asked to provide at least one referee, where possible.
Q: Will scores be kept.
A: No. The referee will give a fair play score for each team and pass the card to the pitch managers who will pass to the control for recording.
Q: When is the bar open?
A: The club bar will be open from 11:30; this year we also hope to run an additional bar outside.
Q: What are the Guidelines for playing Walking Rugby?
A: The Guidelines for the Festival are on the website and can be downloaded from the following link (Walking Rugby Guidelines). A decision has yet to be made on whether scrums will be played.
Q: When are the presentations?
A: Awards will be presented as soon as possible after all games have been completed.
Q: Is there any entertainment on after the Walking Rugby has finished?
A: Yes, we have a band who will be playing from completion of the presentations to about 10:00pm.
